Mahashivratri 2023: Today, on Shivratri festival, in the presence of Vedpathi, Haq-Hakukdhari, and Rawal Bhimashankar Linga, the date has been fixed for the opening of the doors of Kedarnath Dham.

The doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham will open on 25 April 2023 at 6.20 am.

The date of opening of the portals was announced on Saturday at the Omkareshwar temple located in Ukhimath, the winter seat of Baba Kedar.

Chardham Yatra will start on April 22 this year.

On the other hand, the portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri in Char Dham of Uttarakhand are to be opened on April 22, and the portals of Badrinath on April 27.

After the announcement of the date of opening of the doors of Kedarnath Dham, the preparations for the yatra will speed up here too.

According to the tradition, every year on the Shivratri festival, the date of opening of the portals of Kedarnath Dham is fixed at Panchkedar Gaddisthal Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath.

Baba Kedar was decorated and anointed.

For this, Mahabhishek was done by decorating Baba Kedar with worship and worship in the temple from Saturday morning itself on Shivratri festival.

After this, in the presence of Vedpathi, Kedarnath’s Rawal Bhimashankar Ling and the chief priest, as well as Haq-Hakukdhari, administration, and pilgrimage priests, the date and auspicious time for the opening of the doors was determined by 9:30 am after the almanac calculation.

Along with this, the date of departure of Utsav Doli from Omkareshwar Temple to Kedarnath will also be announced.

On the other hand, Hotel Association Uttarkashi advocated ending the compulsion of online registration in Chardham Yatra.

Memorandum was also given to Gangotri MLA Suresh Chauhan and District Magistrate Abhishek Ruhela regarding the demands.

In a program organized in Gangotri, Gangotri MLA Suresh Chauhan assured all possible help to solve the problems of hoteliers and to increase tourism in Uttarkashi.

This will directly affect the hotel business. Offline registration for Chardham Yatra should be conducted on the basis of the biometric registration system as before.

Shailendra Matuda demanded to keep Gangotri National Highway intact, the construction of Marine Drive, the construction of car parking in the Collectorate, ropeway in Dayara Bugyal and Varunavat, freeing Jadung from the inner line and opening it for tourists.
