Tamil Nadu Opposes The Trilingual Formula In NEP

Tamil Nadu opposes the trilingual formula, calls for PM Modi to reconsider. The Tamil Nadu opposes the 3-language policy launched by the central government in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Tamil Nadu CM K Palaniswami has said that I am sad that the government has brought a trilingual policy in the new education policy. Our state has been following a two-language policy for decades and there will be no change in it.

He said that I request the Prime Minister to heed the demand of the people of Tamil Nadu to reconsider the three-language policy and allow the states to take decisions as per their policy. Let us know that the new education policy 2020 was approved by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday.

I request Prime Minister to pay heed to the unanimous demand of the people of Tamil Nadu to reconsider the three language policy and allow states to make a decision as per their own policy: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

After the implementation of the trilingual formula in the new education policy, there was opposition from the southern states especially. Under it, English and Hindi, a regional language, have been ranked in schools.

After the protest, it was made flexible and no language was required. The same system will remain in force even further. It clearly states that its purpose is to promote the conservation and development of all Indian languages.

Earlier, the Congress accused the government of bringing education policy without any discussion, consultation and deliberation. During this time, the Congress said that it had talked about spending 6 percent of GDP on education, but this government has reduced the expenditure on education compared to 2014-15. The expenditure on education in 2014-15 was 4.14 percent, which has been reduced to 3.2 percent in 2020-21.

At the same time, the government wants to bring the new education policy to the ground as soon as possible. In the coming days, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank himself will discuss with the education ministers of all states to implement it.

At the same time, BJP President JP Nadda can also discuss with the Chief Ministers of the states where BJP has governments. At present, this entire scheme is still being finalized.
