Prime Minister Modi Gave Confidence, Elections Will Be Held In J&K

Prime Minister Modi gave confidence, elections will be held in Kashmir as soon as the delimitation is over, In the meeting with the political parties of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the recently held District Development Council (DDC) elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the National Conference, and the Gupkar coalition parties may have raised the issue of the withdrawal of Article 370.

But the truth is that now they too agreed that it cannot be returned.

This is the reason that political parties of Jammu and Kashmir like PDP and National Conference raised this point in the meeting held on Thursday with the Prime Minister.

But the National Conference made it clear that it will not take any illegal step, whatever the battle will have to be fought. She will fight legally.

Yes, the PDP did say that it would continue to fight. Whereas instead of talking about Article 370, Congress only talked about domicile.

In such a situation, in the meeting that lasted for about three and a half hours, the demand was focused on the assembly elections and full statehood.

PM said, now there will be neither distance of Delhi nor distance of the heart.

It was again assured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah that elections will be held as soon as the delimitation is done and full statehood will also be available at the right time.

With this beginning of the dialogue, the Prime Minister assured, ‘Now there will be neither Delhi ki distance nor Dil ki distance.’

After the meeting, everyone expressed confidence that it would be good for Kashmir.

After the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the stalled dialogue started on Thursday and progressed at a fast pace.

In fact, no agenda was fixed for this meeting, rather everyone was given the opportunity to say whatever they wanted.

It also showed its effect. Everyone agreed that the meeting took place in a very good atmosphere.

Broadly, the main demands that came and the government itself appeared positive were delimitation and full statehood.

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad also talked about releasing political prisoners.

There was also a demand from his side to make every effort for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits who had left Jammu and Kashmir during the three decades.

The attitude of PDP and National Conference on the issue of Article 370

Azad also demanded the condition of domicile (local residence) in respect of jobs and land. Other parties also made similar demands.

It is said that PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti was more vocal and said that the movement against the way Article 370 was scrapped would continue.

She also raised the issue of talks with Pakistan. Whereas Farooq Abdullah said that now that a new law has been made, then his fight will be legal.

That is, somewhere a feeling has arisen that Article 370 has been removed according to the rules of the Constitution, its return cannot be done with any insistence.

Prime Minister Modi gave confidence, elections will be held: The election is important in giving full statehood.

After everyone spoke, Home Minister Amit Shah said that he has already said that elections will also be held in the state and it will also get full statehood.

He said that elections would prove to be an important step in granting full statehood.

The indication was clear that the decision on full statehood would be taken after the elections. In fact, Azad had demanded full statehood even before the elections.

All parties will have to create a sense of security.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the development work being done in the state and said that the time has come to give opportunities to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

But for this, it is necessary that there should be corruption-free governance in the state.

The government is determined to restore the democratic process and that is why the DDC elections were held in the last months. The process has to be extended further.

But it should be everyone’s responsibility that the feeling of security and development should increase in every section of the state.

The death of anyone is painful. Everyone has to stop this together. He appealed to every party to engage in the discussion of delimitation and expedite it.

It should be noted that the leaders of the National Conference did not attend the previous meetings of the Delimitation Commission.
