Navneet Rana Is In New Trouble: Police Also Registered A Case

Navneet Rana is in new trouble: Police also registered a case against her and her husband Ravi Rana along with 15 supporters.

A case has been registered against Independent MP Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana along with about 15 of her supporters.

The action has been taken for allegedly violating rules and obstructing traffic during the reception program of Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana, a police official said on Sunday.

It is to be known that the Rana couple was arrested on 23 April. They had announced to recite Hanuman Chalisa in front of Matoshree, the private residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

This led to a tense standoff with Shiv Sena workers. They were granted bail by a special court in Mumbai on May 4.

MP Navneet Rana and her husband, MLA from Badnera, were given a grand welcome by supporters here late on Saturday night on their return to the city after 36 days.

Local police officials said the welcome procession disrupted traffic at several places. Loudspeakers were used even after 10 pm in the aarti performed by the couple.

Amravati Police Commissioner Aarti Singh said that the Rana couple has been booked under the provisions of IPC, Maharashtra Police Act, and Environment Protection Act at Rajapeth police station.

While talking to a TV channel, Ravi Rana has denied the violation of law and order.

Ravi Rana said that he and his wife did not violate any norms while attending the reception programs organized by their supporters in Nagpur and Amravati on Saturday.

He also attacked Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He (Ravi Rana) said that 75 percent of the industries established in Vidarbha during the previous BJP government have been closed.

Ravi Rana also alleged that the Uddhav Thackeray government has failed to stop load-shedding in the state.
