The foundation of the activities of Kumar Ashram was laid.

With the inspiration of Mahatma Gandhi, the great leader of the freedom movement, Lala Lajpat Rai, founded the Lok Sevak Mandal.

Kumar Ashram was established in Kailashpuri to realize the untouchability program of Mahatma Gandhi.

Dr. Seema Gautam, who researched Lal Bahadur Shastri’s contribution to the national movement, said that according to the rules and conditions of the Lok Sevak Mandal.

Its members had to contribute actively to the work of the organization for three years. Thereafter he was appointed as a life member.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti: Lal Bahadur Shastri took its temporary membership in 1926 on the instructions of Mahatma Gandhi.

In this sequence, he was appointed first to Muzaffarnagar and then to Meerut in 1927 for the work of the organization.

At that time the minister of Kumar Ashram used to be Shivdayalu Ji, a well-known revolutionary of the city.

His son Anil Kumar Mittal told that his father used to narrate the memoirs related to Lal Bahadur Shastri.

The state government had also built a building in the name of Lal Bahadur Shastri in Kumar Ashram.

Daughter-in-law Vibha Shastri’s book is mentioned in the red of the earth

Vibha Shastri, the daughter-in-law of Bharat Ratna Lal Bahadur Shastri, has given details of the stay of Kumar Ashram in her book Dharti Ka Lal.

Senior Congress leader Chaudhary Yashpal Singh told that the former Prime Minister’s son MP Harikishan Shastri had visited the ashram to gather facts for this book.

Dr. Seema Gautam told that the annual function of Kumar Ashram was celebrated on a large scale in 1934.

Sarojini Naidu was the chairman and Dr. Zakir Hussain also came. Lal Bahadur Shastri was the convener of this event.
