BSF Alert In Border Areas, 80 Criminals Caught

BSF alert in border areas, no more for those who create disturbances in elections; 80 criminals caught.

The criminals, who are planning to create disturbances in the ongoing assembly elections in Bengal, are not happy this time.

The Border Security Force (BSF) is fully alert on the Indo-Bangladesh border so that no chaotic elements from across the border can spread any disturbances in the elections for the remaining three phases in the state.

In fact, in the border districts of Bengal, voting is only in the sixth and seventh phase in most of the sensitive constituencies adjacent to the international border.

Before that, on the information of BSF, at least 80 criminals operating in the border area have already been apprehended.

List of criminals handed over to police.

BSF South Bengal Frontier spokesperson and DIG Surjit Singh Guleria said that the list of these criminals had already been submitted to the police.

After this, the police have arrested these criminals and sent them behind bars. It is worth noting that earlier in every election, the alleged criminals have been spreading disturbances from across the border and in the border area.

But this time the BSF has already put a tight grip on them. Along with this, patrolling has also been increased on the international border at this time.

BSF DIG said that we are taking extra vigil on the border in view of elections. Our jawans are keeping a strict vigil 24 hours a day.

BSF alert in border areas: All these areas are very sensitive.

Let it be said that elections are to be held in the upcoming phases in North and South Dinajpur district including North 24 Parganas, Nadia, Malda, and Murshidabad along the Bangladesh border.

All these areas are extremely sensitive and are notorious for political violence and criminal activity. These districts have a borderline of more than 1000 kilometers with Bangladesh.

Fencing (fence) has not been installed in large areas so far. Due to lack of fencing, there is the ease of movement for criminals and intruders, in such a situation, the security of this border area is a very challenging task for the BSF.

The South Bengal border area, in particular, is one of the most challenging borders in the world, covering the districts of North and South 24 Parganas, Nadia, Malda, and Murshidabad.

There are 71 villages in this border area which are located on the Zero Line, very close to the international border.

Bedroom in India then kitchen in Bangladesh.

There are also many houses in these villages whose bedrooms are in India and kitchen in Bangladesh. In such a situation, its security becomes even more challenging for BSF.

This area has been notorious for smuggling and infiltration. However, despite all the challenges, the South Bengal Frontier has completely cracked down on smuggling and infiltration in the last few years.
