Haridwar Kumbh 2021: Chakravyuh of police for crowd management on royal bath, something like this will be arranged.
Chakravyuh has been prepared by the fair police for crowd management at the royal bath in Kumbh.
In fact, the police have done a curved barricading of bamboo-bats in the hold-up area to keep the system smooth when the pressure of the Ganga Ghats increases.
It is named Chakravyuh. Devotees will be passed through this chakravyuh when the crowd increases. According to the crowd, the police team will continue to evacuate the Ganga Ghat.
The crowd management fair in Kumbh is one of the major challenges of the police. Gangs break the record at the royal bath, and the Ganges arrive for a bath, which also poses the risk of a stampede.
To deal with this, hold-up areas have been created in the empty plains in the Kumbh Mela area. Rodebelwala is the most crowded ground near Harki Paadi, so the hold-up area here is designed as a Chakravyuh.
In which the devotees will gradually move towards the Ganges Ghats, passing in a jig-jag manner.
Two days ago, Kumbh IG Sanjay Gunjyal and Mela SSP Janmayya in charge Khanduri saw Chakravyuh hold up being conducted experimentally.
As a crowd, about one thousand paramilitary and police personnel were put in the circle and it was seen how much time the police force would get to evacuate the ghat.
IG Sanjay Gunjyal informed that a separate route for exit and return from Chakravyuh will be erected and signboards showing direction there.
In the Chakravyuh, the path will be kept open for a short distance to go for a bath at the front ghats. So that whoever the devotee wants to get out of the Chakravyuh and take a bath at the nearest ghat and go back, can go easily.
Haridwar Kumbh 2021: Old and sick will be different.
A separate route will be arranged for the old, sick, and infirm devotees by not putting them in the Chakravyuh. At the same time, there will be adequate arrangements for drinking water in the Chakravyuh.
To run the Chakravyuh well, a number of police forces will be duty-bound. Kumbh Mela SSP Janmejaya Prabhakar Khanduri said that Bally and Barricades are being installed at different places to divert traffic and other necessary places.
Devotees will be encouraged to bathe at the ghats around the highway, to avoid increasing crowd pressure on Harki Paidi and nearby ghats.
