The Supreme Court has asked CBSE and ICSE to provide information about those students whose moderation policy resulted in low marks in the declared results.

This direction was given by a bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Sanjiv Khanna. The bench gave this direction on the petition of the Association of Private Schools of Uttar Pradesh.

During the hearing, advocate Ravi Prakash Gupta, appearing for the petitioner, said that due to the moderation policy, the numbers of all the students were reduced.

Under this policy, the marks were fixed according to the highest average score of the three years examination. This process of declaration of results was approved by the Supreme Court itself.

At the same time, it was also said that the students who are dissatisfied with their results, should also retain the option of taking the examination for them.

Boards were asked to conduct these examinations soon so that the qualified students can appear in future NEET and JEE examinations. To take admission in universities for further studies.

Report the reduced marks: CBSE exams from 25, ICSE from 16.

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has told the Supreme Court that the optional examinations of classes 10 and 12 will be conducted from August 25 to September 15.

Their results will be declared on 30 September. Whereas ICSE (Council for Indian School Certificate Examination) has given information about conducting class 10 and 12 examinations from August 16.

ICSE  will declare the result around 20th September.
