Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, while giving information on X, wrote that this is a big success for Punjab Police. Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has arrested 2 associates of the Landa Group after a fierce shootout in Jalandhar.

More than 50 bullets were fired from both sides. 2 police officers were injured while chasing the miscreants. At the same time, gangsters were injured. They were involved in many heinous crimes including extortion and many other criminal activities in many districts of Punjab.

He said that Jalandhar Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma received secret information that two henchmen of terrorist Lakhbir were coming with weapons.

When their hideout was detected near Foldiwal village, both of them started firing on the police team that reached there, after which the police also retaliated. According to Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma, two police officers and the accused were shot and wounded during the firing.

According to CP Swapan Sharma, the individuals who were arrested were implicated in many crimes, such as extortion, murder, and attempted murder. The accused used to provide logistical support to other gang members and supply weapons to criminal organizations.

The CP said that a preliminary investigation revealed that both the gangsters were in direct contact with Landa and were conspiring to eliminate two people belonging to their rival gang. He said that the injured gangsters and police officers were undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The miscreants were identified by these names

The arrested miscreants have been identified as Jaskaran alias Karan, resident of Bhikha Nangal, Kartarpur, and Fatehdeep Singh alias Pradeep Saini, resident of Mohalla Thanedara, Mehli Gate, Phagwara. Both the accused were arrested in a case registered at Sadar police station, Jalandhar.
