Ingredients for making Aloo-Methi Paratha

For the dough:

  1. 2 cups wheat flour
  2. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  3. 1/2 teaspoon celery
  4. 1 teaspoon oil
  5. Water (for kneading the dough)

Potato stuffing:

  1. 2 large potatoes (boiled and mashed)
  2. 1 cup fenugreek (finely chopped)
  3. 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  4. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  5. 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  6. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  7. 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 green chili (finely chopped)
  10. Green coriander (finely chopped)
  11. Oil for frying

Method of making Aloo-Methi Paratha

  1. First, add wheat flour, salt, celery, and oil in a large bowl. Add water little by little and knead a soft dough. Cover the dough and keep it for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Now heat the oil in a pan. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry it. Now add green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and salt and mix well.
  3. After this, add mashed potatoes and fenugreek and mix the mixture well. Turn off the gas add green coriander and mix.
  4. Then make small balls of dough. Roll each ball thinly with a rolling pin. Fill the potato mixture in the middle and fold the edges to give it a round shape.
