The attack, which came under widespread bombardment of Ukrainian territories, also included the Lviv region near Poland in the west of the country.
Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuri Ihnat said that Shahed drones reached Lviv due to the inability of the air defense system to protect such a large area.
According to Lviv Governor Maxim Kojitsky, Russia targeted a vital infrastructure in the region, causing the fire.
