He has asked the officials to deliberate and issue guidelines on the necessity of RTPCR negative reports for Kanwar Yatris coming from other states.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday discussed various points at his official residence as well as about the Kanwar Yatra starting from July 25.
Along with taking information from the officials regarding the preparations for the journey, it was directed that there should not be any risk of infection from the Kanwar Yatra.
Talk to the competent authorities of Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttarakhand. Issue guidelines regarding travel in coordination.
Also, discuss the implementation of the mandatory RTPCR negative report for the pilgrims coming from other states for the Kanwar Yatra.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that keeping in mind the future assessment of experts in relation to Covid infection, they should talk to the Kanwar Sangh’s and request that at least devotees participate in the Kanwar Yatra.
In the past too, the CM had reviewed the preparations for the yatra by meeting with senior officers of the police administration.
It was said that the Covid protocol should be followed. There should be better lighting on the roads and full care should be taken of cleanliness in Shiva temples.
It is noteworthy that the Indian Medical Association has also suggested that pilgrimage and tourism should be stopped immediately to avoid the third wave of corona infection.
It is possible that in view of this, the government wants that only those with negative reports of Corona should be allowed to attend the Kanwar Yatra.
This will be the root.
The Kanwariyas of Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, and Kaushambi usually go for the Jalabhishek of Baba Vishwanath.
Their route continues through Daraganj, Sangam to Handia, Gopiganj, and Aurai. For this reason, traffic remains one way throughout the month on the Shastri bridge located in Jhansi in Prayagraj.
Kanwariyas of Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Saharanpur, Baghpat, Bijnor, and Bulandshahr bring water from Haridwar.
For this, they come from Mangalore to Roorkee via Kanwar Patri Marg and Delhi Dehradun Highway.
Jalabhishek is performed at the historic Aughadnath temple in Meerut and the Pura Mahadev temple in Baghpat.
The Kanwaryas of Bijnor reaches Bijnor via the highway in Muzaffarnagar via Jansath and Meerapur. After reaching Meerut, the Kanwariyas of Bulandshahr go to Bulandshahr via Hapur Bulandshahr road.
The Kanwariyas of Garhmukteshwar leaves from Garh Road. The Kanwariyas of Baghpat takes a turn from the highway in Muzaffarnagar to Baghpat via Shamli and Budhana Road.
The Kanwariyas of Saharanpur uses Haridwar Panchkula Highway. The Kanwariyas of Haryana and Rajasthan pass through the Gangnahar track from Meerut.
The Kanwariyas of Ghaziabad and Delhi use the Ganganahar track and highway. Ganganagar track is from Mangalore to Muradnagar in Ghaziabad.
Kanwariyas reach Soron (Kasganj), Singhi Rampur (Farrukhabad), and Narora, Rajghat, and Ramghat of Bulandshahr in the Agra region,
But except for Aligarh, there is no crowd like Meerut and Moradabad in any district.
There is a Kavand Yatra from Mainpuri to Singhi Rampur (Farrukhabad). However, there is not much crowd here. Kanwariyas of Etah, Agra and Mathura go to Soron (Kasganj).
Their route is from Mathura via Sikandrau to Soron, from Agra via Tundla, and from Etah via Soron.
Devotees from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh also come to Soron to collect water, which leaves only through Agra.
Their number remains limited. The Kavad Yatra of Aligarh and Hathras lasts till Ramghat, Rajghat, and Narora. It is more crowded than other districts.
