Sri Lankan Cricket Team To Visit Bangladesh For ODI Series

Sri Lankan cricket team to visit Bangladesh for a three-match ODI series from May 23. The Sri Lankan cricket team will tour Bangladesh from May 23 for a three-match ODI series.

The country’s cricket board announced this on Wednesday. The team will go to Dhaka on 16 May and will play practice matches on 21 May itself.

All matches will be day-night. To be played at Sher-e-Bangladesh National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The ODI matches will be played on 23, 25, and 28 May.

Sri Lanka will be the second foreign team to visit Bangladesh amid the Corona epidemic. The West Indies team went to Bangladesh to play two Tests and three ODIs in January-February.

Let us know that recently Bangladesh cricket team visited Sri Lanka. The two-match series was held 1-0 by the host team. The first test was a draw.

At the same time, due to 11 wickets in the debut match of Praveen Jayavikram, Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by 209 runs in the second Test to win the Test series 1–0.

The left-arm spinner took 11 wickets for 178 runs in the match. This is the 10th best performance by a Test bowler while making his debut.

This is the best performance by a Sri Lankan bowler. Jayavikram left behind Akila Dhananjay, who took eight wickets for 44 runs against Bangladesh three years ago.

Bangladesh, chasing the target of 437 runs, was reduced to 227 runs in the second innings.

Off-spinner Ramesh Mendis also took four wickets for 103 runs.

Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne was adjudged the best player of the series for scoring 428 runs in three innings, including a double century, a century, and a half-century.

Bangladesh’s team had scored 251 runs in the first innings. At the same time, Sri Lanka scored 493 for seven wickets in the first innings and 194 for 9 wickets in the second innings.
