SCO Meeting: Ajit Doval Condemns Pakistan and China, Mentions Lashkar and ISIS.
India’s NSA, Ajit Doval, condemns Pakistan and China for supporting terrorism in the SCO meeting. Learn how India emphasizes its tough stance against cross-border terrorism and sovereignty violations.
In the SCO meeting, Ajit Doval took Pakistan as well as China into the loop and mentioned Lashkar and ISIS.
India has once again made it clear that it is sticking to its old strategy on the issue of cross-border terrorism.
In this regard, it will leave no stone unturned in trying to expose the terrorist face of neighboring country Pakistan from every international forum.
In the first meeting of National Security Advisors (NSAs) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), India’s NSA not only targeted Pakistan in the name of openly supporting terrorism.
but also in the matter of violating the sovereignty of other countries in international connectivity projects. China’s friendly country was also involved.
Although this is India’s old stand, the way Doval has underlined the issues related to its national interests on the SCO platform shows India’s tough stance.
In this SCO meeting going on in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, Doval said that duplicity on the issue of cross-border terrorism will no longer work.
Strict action will have to be taken against those who conduct cross-border terrorism and support it in any way, finance it, or protect it. It should be noted that Pakistan is also a member of SCO.
Last year, India presided over the SCO meeting, many of which were also held in India.
Pakistan’s then Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto also participated in the meeting of SCO foreign ministers. Even in today’s meeting, Doval’s reference was directly towards Pakistan.
Doval took the name of terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Lashkar-e-Taiba, sponsored by the Pakistan government, and said that SCO member countries are becoming the target of these terrorist organizations banned by the United Nations.
Referring to the Moscow terrorist attack, Doval said that the motives behind such terrorist incidents cannot be justified in any way.
Doval said that India is in favor of promoting mutual trade by increasing connectivity among SCO member countries.
But any effort in this regard should be made keeping in mind the sovereignty and national integrity of other countries.
India’s gesture was towards China, whose part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CEPC) passes through the part of Kashmir which is currently under Pakistan’s control.
In his speech, Doval strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Moscow and expressed condolences to the people of Russia on behalf of the people of India.
After the meeting, Indian NSA Doval also had a meeting with NSAs of some other countries including Russia, and Iran on bilateral issues.
