RCB out of the tournament with disappointment but this bowler made the biggest record: IPL 2021.

In the Eliminator of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore, captained by Virat Kohli, were knocked out after losing to Kolkata Knight Riders.

Even though the team got defeated in this match and their dream of winning the trophy once again remained incomplete but the team’s bowler Harshal Patel performed brilliantly.

During this match, he achieved a big achievement by taking two wickets. Harshal had a great season this season and he was the highest wicket-taker.

Even though two matches are yet to be played in this tournament, it is difficult to beat the number of wickets this bowler has taken.

In this season, Harshal took 32 wickets in 15 matches while playing for RCB and this is the highest number of wickets taken by any bowler in a season in IPL history so far.

He equaled Chennai Super Kings legend Dwayne Bravo.

The record of taking most wickets in any one season of IPL was till now held by Chennai’s experienced bowler Bravo. Now Harshal’s name has also been jointly inscribed on this record.

Against Kolkata in the Eliminator, Harshal took 2 wickets to take the number of wickets to 32.

In the year 2013, Bravo did this feat, while in the 2021 season, this special achievement was added in the name of Harshal.

In the case of taking most wickets in a season, Harshal’s name has now come jointly with Bravo in the first place.

Delhi Capitals bowler Kagiso Rabada, who took 30 wickets in the year 2020, is in second place.

In the last season, Bumrah took 27 wickets while playing for Mumbai Indians. He broke the record of taking 26 wickets held by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the year 2017.

In 2017 itself, Jaydev Unadkat took 24 wickets and he is jointly fourth on this list with Harbhajan Singh.
