Rahul Gandhi took the lead amidst discord in Punjab Congress, will meet the party MLAs of the state today.

In the midst of discord in the Punjab Congress, Rahul Gandhi has taken charge. He will meet party MLAs from the state at his residence in Delhi on Friday.

Earlier on Wednesday, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Sunil Jakhar and Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal met Rahul in Delhi.

Amid a series of meetings to end factionalism in Punjab Congress, party state president Sunil Jakhar on Wednesday said the current situation would be resolved soon.

Days after the Congress-led government in Punjab gave government jobs to the sons of two sitting MLAs, Jakhar had said that some wrong people were advising the chief minister, which led to the decision.

He said this after meeting with Rahul. He also said that in a few days some people have come close to the Captain who is giving wrong advice.

Rahul Gandhi knows about all the problems in Punjab, which he will solve.

Punjab very important for Congress.

Congress’s Punjab affairs in-charge and general secretary Harish Rawat said on Wednesday that a report has been submitted, whose reply should be received by July 8-10.

MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu will be called to make a statement by a three-member panel.

Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi had constituted a three-member panel to end factionalism in the party’s Punjab unit.

Punjab is very important for Congress, as it is one of the few states where the party is in power.

In such a situation, whatever happens here will have an impact on the party’s prospects outside the state as well. The next assembly elections in the state are due next year.

Congress will hold a 10-day nationwide protest against inflation, which will start from July 7.

The Congress party will launch a 10-day nationwide agitation against inflation from July 7.

A statement issued by Congress said, “Influenced by the plight of those already suffering due to the COVID pandemic, massive unemployment, and wage cuts.

The Congress Party has decided to launch nationwide agitation programs at the block, district, and state levels.”

These programs will be implemented by the state units between July 7 and July 17, 2021. This would include leaders of the Congress party.

The All India Congress Committee organization, comprising leaders and members of the Mahila Congress, aided by scores of ordinary party workers across the country.’
