In the past, many big campaigns were carried out, but the water of the Ganges was neither clean nor clean.

Had the old methods been adopted, the situation would have been equally bad today. But we moved forward with new thinking, new approach. We did not restrict the Namami Gange Mission to the cleanliness of Ganga ji, but made it the largest and comprehensive river conservation program in the country.

The government moved forward in four directions simultaneously. Firstly – To prevent the dirty water from falling into the Ganges water, started laying a net of sewage treatment plants. Second, build sewage treatment plants that can meet the needs of the next 10-15 years.

Third- to make a hundred big cities and five thousand villages situated on the banks of river Ganga free from open defecation and fourth- to put full force to stop pollution in Ganga Ji tributaries.

The PM Modi said that the cleanliness of Ganga Ji was experienced by devotees from all over the world at Prayagraj Kumbh. Now during Haridwar Kumbh, the whole world is going to experience the bathing of the pure Ganges. Now, with the formation of the Ganga Museum, the attraction here will increase further.

This museum is going to be a medium for tourists visiting Haridwar to understand the heritage associated with Ganga.

Today money does not flow in water, water is applied. The condition here was that an important subject like water was divided into many ministries and departments. In these ministries, there was no coordination among the departments nor any clear guidelines for working towards the same goal.

The PM said that with the challenges related to water, now this ministry is engaged in the mission of delivering water to every house in the country. Today, about 1 lakh families are being connected to the facility of pure drinking water every day under the Water Life Mission.

Drinking water has been delivered to 2 crore families of the country in just one year. As a result, irrigating in the country or the problem related to drinking water, these have become continuous. Think, even after all these years of independence, drinking water from pipes was not reached in more than 15 crore houses.

Major reforms have been made related to the farmers, workers and health of the country. These reforms will empower the country’s workers, empower the youth of the country, empower the women of the country, empower the farmers of the country. But today the country is seeing how some people are protesting just for the sake of protest.

Today, even when the central government is giving the farmers their rights, these people have come down on protest. These people want the farmers of the country could not sell their produce in the open market. These people are now humiliating the farmers by setting fire to the goods and equipment that the farmer worships.

PM Modi said that this was the time of four years ago, when the country’s jambans carried out surgical strikes and destroyed the bases of terror. But these people were asking for evidence of surgical strikes from their jambajas. By opposing the surgical strike also, these people have cleared their intention in front of the country.

PM Modi said that in this period, the country has seen how the Digital India campaign, Jan Dhan bank accounts have helped people. When our government started this work, these people were opposing them. These people have always opposed the opening of the bank account of the poor of the country, they should also do digital transactions.

The PM said that on the initiative of India, when the whole world was celebrating International Yoga Day, these people sitting in India were opposing it. When the tallest statue of Sardar Patel was being unveiled, these people were still opposing it.

Till date, no major leader has gone to the Statue of Unity. Last month, Bhoomipujan has been done for the construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.
