Pakistan team wants to lose to India in Champions Trophy 2025! The Vice-captain said surprising things. Indian cricket team and Pakistan cricket team have not played any bilateral series since 2012. Both teams clash only in ICC events. However, Pakistan’s vice-captain Salman Ali Agha’s thinking is different from this.
The clash will be on 23 February
Pakistan and Indian teams have been placed in Group A of the Champions Trophy 2025. There will be a great match between the two teams on the ground in Dubai on 23 February. Earlier, Pakistan cricket team’s vice-captain Salman Ali Agha said that winning the Champions Trophy is more important than defeating arch-rival India in the ICC event. He has also expressed confidence in Pakistan’s ability to win the tournament.
Pakistan Vice-Captain: Spoke his heart out in the podcast
Salman said in an interview on the PCB podcast, “I am excited for the Champions Trophy because it is special for Pakistan to host an ICC event. Being from Lahore, it will be a dream come true for me to lift the trophy in my hometown. It might be won by the Pakistani team.
Will start from February 19
On February 19, the 2025 Champions Trophy will begin. The opening game will be between Pakistan and New Zealand. Salman remarked, “The India-Pakistan match has a completely different vibe. It is the biggest game in the world, as they claim. However, since it’s only a game, winning the Champions Trophy is more significant than winning that particular match. Salman stated, “There is no purpose if they defeat India without taking home the Champions Trophy. The biggest thing, in my opinion, would be if they lost the game and, heaven forbid, won the Champions Trophy. He would also strive to win India’s match with his team. We shall make an effort to win India’s match because we all want to. I’ll do everything in my power to oppose them as well.
