Mehbooba Mufti Attacked The Center On Equal Rights
Mehbooba Mufti attacked the Center On equal rights. Mehbooba termed the statement of enjoying equal rights of the central government as a white lie.
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday attacked the Center fiercely. She said that the claim of the Center that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are exercising equal rights is a white lie.
The ease with which Kashmir is cordoned off every time fearing any reaction in Kashmir is alarming and insensitive.
Mehbooba’s statement came after the administration shut down mobile telephone services and internet services following the death of separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
Mehbooba wrote on the social site Twitter that the Indian government’s claim that the people of Jammu and Kashmir now enjoy equal rights, is a white lie.
The truth is that such actions of the government create a sense of isolation among the people. She wrote that this step of government is to end the feelings of people by creating fear in the people.
But the feelings do not disappear in the air, these feelings of betrayal and anger are passed down from one generation to the next.
The PDP president said that instead of reaching out to the people, attempts are made to humiliate and punish Jammu and Kashmir. This type of action increases feelings of betrayal and anger.
