The CBI raided the FCI office for three hours in the late night in connection with a bribery case.

CBI arrested the manager of  FCI regional office Punjab and a rice trader from Amritsar on charges of cheating in the purchase and sale of rice by taking a bribe.

Two separate teams of CBI raided Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Zirakpur, documents seized

During this, two different teams of CBI have raided the office of the businessman located in Amritsar, the residence of the manager in Zirakpur, and the places of those who were in contact with both of them in Chandigarh.

In the information so far, the team has got some important documents.

On August 14, the CBI had arrested manager Gagan Negi and Amritsar-based rice trader Ravinder Singh.

On the basis of secret information, on the evening of August 14, 2021, CBI arrested manager Gagan Negi and businessman Ravinder Singh alias Bunty from the industrial area of ​​​​Chandigarh for taking bribe of two lakh.

Bunty was bribing the manager. Amritsar resident Ravinder Singh is the owner of a private firm Bunty Enterprises.

The regional office of the Food Corporation of India in Chandigarh is the Punjab branch.

It is alleged that the department was rigged with the connivance of its manager Gagan Negi and the accused Ravinder Singh, who gave him the bribe. Both were benefiting each other.

At the same time, it is said that after the raid, in this case, some important documents have also been found in the hands of CBI.

With the help of these documents, the CBI is trying to nab the other fraudsters present in the FCI and those who are in contact with both the accused.

Eight lakh transactions took place as a bribe.

According to sources, there was already a bribery game going on between Ravinder Singh and Gagan Negi.

From June 2021 till now, a total of eight lakh rupees have been exchanged as bribes between the two. But this time the CBI caught both of them.

It is learned that Ravinder Singh used to get Gagan Negi to do his work illegally in the purchase and sale of rice by giving bribes.
