Mayawati expresses sorrow over the Azamgarh scandal, tweet, and asks- What difference has been left between SP and BJP government. A Dalit village head of Bansgaon of Tarwan police station area in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, was shot dead on Friday evening.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi Adityanath) has taken cognizance of the Azamgarh incident. He expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and wished the departed soul peace.
In addition to the amount of assistance given under the Scheduled Castes / Tribes Act, the CM has announced an additional amount of Rs. 5 lakhs from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the families of the victims.
He has also given instructions to suspend the concerned police station and the post of in-charge with immediate effect.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister has directed to take action against the criminals under the Gangster Act and seize their property and impose NSA. Also, instructions have been given to take action against the officials of the district for such an incident.

Village head Satyameva Jayate, alias Pappu Ram of Bans Village in Tarawan police station area, was passing by a private school outside the village on Friday.
Meanwhile, Vivek Singh and Suryansh Dubey, who are his friends from the village, took him to Tubel with him on the pretext of the feast. There was an argument over something here and both shot and killed the village head.
