Manipur Security Crackdown: 11 Militants Arrested, Weapons Seized
Manipur Security Crackdown: Security forces in Manipur arrested 11 militants from banned outfits, recovering rifles, bombs, and more in a major crackdown on insurgency.
Severe actions by security forces in Manipur, 11 extremists have been arrested. We’ve collected a large number of weapons. Security forces in Manipur are still combating militants. Now, security officers have initiated a search operation against the insurgents. The operation resulted in the arrest of 11 activists from banned organizations. Manipur Police has provided this information. Government’s security forces were made up of 11 hunters from stopped organizations, Greek (VolkskRegsguguppe), Play, and KCP.
Weapons recovered
The security forces recovered a cache of weapons, including several rifles, ammunition, demand letters, Aadhar cards, bombs, war equipment, and more from the operation.
Mobile phones and an Aadhaar card were seized
Security forces detained Naorem Rabichandra Singh (30), Yengkokpam Premchan Singh (22), Ningthoukhongjam Vikash Singh, and Sanabam Ratan Singh (60), according to a May 5 statement from the Manipur police. They also discovered two AK rifles with four live rounds each, an M4 rifle with a magazine, an SLR rifle with five live rounds, a.303 rifle with five live rounds, and twenty-five rounds of.303 rifle ammunition, and a wireless transmitter. Two cell phones and an Aadhaar card were discovered in Ratan Singh’s possession.
Manipur Security Crackdown: Four more cadres were taken into custody
On May 5, four KCP Cadres (PWG) were arrested in a special act of the French Colony of Manti East in the east. Wahengbam Bimal Maity (25), Sorenshangbam Sanjana Devi (25), and Senjam James Singh Wangkheimayum Tarun Singh were arrested and 2 pistols, 5 demand letters of the banned organisation, 5 mobiles, 2 Aadhar cards, 3 hand gloves and 1 camouflage cap were seized from the cadres.
Moiranthem Oken (55), an active People’s Liberation Army (PLA) cadre, was also apprehended, and two pistols, one hand grenade, one detonator, three mobile phones, and one sling bag were recovered from him.
