Leicester surprised Liverpool in EPL, Muhammad Salah could not score from a penalty corner.
Liverpool’s loss and Muhammad Salah’s penalty, both seem impossible to football fans, but both things happened in a match in the English Premier League (EPL) which has dealt a blow to Liverpool’s hopes of winning the title.
Leicester beat Liverpool 1-0 in a match played late on Tuesday. Ademola Lukman scored the only goal for the team.
Table-toppers Manchester City will extend their lead to nine points if they beat Brentford in Wednesday’s match.
The city has so far won nine matches in a row and has scored 17 goals in the last three matches. Liverpool and Chelsea have 41 points and both are six points behind City.
All three teams have played 19 matches. At the same time, Leicester is in ninth place with 25 points from 18 matches.
Liverpool’s star forwards Salah and Sadio Mane are set to play in the African Cup of Nations next week.
They were allowed to join their national teams as of late so that they could contribute to Liverpool’s victories, but this did not happen.

He could not score on penalty for the first time in 16 attempts. The last time he failed to encash a penalty was in October 2017. Both the teams failed to score by the end of the first half.
In the second half, in the 54th minute, Liverpool’s Sadio Mane had a great chance to score, but he sent the ball over the goal post.
Then in the 59th minute, Leicester’s Lukman scored a brilliant goal to give his team a useful lead in the match.
Although after this the players of Liverpool kept trying to draw the match, they could not succeed in it.
