Kulgam Encounter Day 9: Encounter in Kulgam, Kashmir enters 8th day as 8 terrorists remain hidden in dense forest. Army uses drones, helicopters in longest anti-terror op of 2025.
Encounter continues in Kulgam, Kashmir, for the ninth day, with eight terrorists reported to be hiding. The anti-terrorism operation in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir continues for the eighth day. Security forces are continuously encountering terrorists hiding in dense forests. According to officials, senior police and army officials are constantly monitoring the operation. Drones and helicopters are also being used in this operation. So far, three terrorists have been reported killed, and several security personnel has been injured.

One of the longest anti-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir, the encounter continued for the eighth day on Friday in Akhal of Kulgam district. Security forces are continuously fighting terrorists hiding in dense forests. Officials said that senior police and army officials are monitoring the operation around the clock.
Three more army personnel are reported to be injured in the intermittent firing between terrorists and security forces in the operation on the previous day. Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat also took stock of the anti-terrorism operation in a meeting with senior officials of the police and other security agencies in Kulgam.
Kulgam Encounter Day 8: Eight terrorists are reported to be hiding
The security forces launched an operation against the terrorists hiding in Akhal last Friday. Three terrorists are reported to have been killed in this operation, and four security personnel were injured till last Wednesday.
There are at least eight terrorists in this area, who have taken different positions at three places in the forest. This area is extremely inaccessible, and there are dense forests, mountains, and pastures in this entire area.

Drones and helicopters are being used
Drones and helicopters are also being used to kill the terrorists. This is the longest anti-terror operation of this year so far. The concerned officials said that there was no firing from the terrorists throughout the day last Wednesday, but as soon as evening came, the terrorists started firing, to which the soldiers gave a befitting reply.
