Kashmiri Hindu Teachers Transferred To Safer Places In Kashmir

Kashmiri Hindu teachers transferred to safer places in Kashmir, and security at residence offices also increased.

177 Kashmiri Hindu teachers posted in Srinagar have been shifted to safer places in view of the prevailing situation arising out of increasing cases of target killings in Kashmir.

Not only this, but security has also been increased in Kashmiri Hindu residential colonies, and offices so that target killings can be completely stopped in the future.

Apart from this, police patrolling has also been increased in the areas of Kashmir where workers from other states are living.

Issuing an order in this regard, the Chief Education Officer has made transfer and adjustment of Kashmiri Hindu teachers posted in remote areas of Srinagar to the district headquarters.

On the orders of the state government, this step has been taken only to ensure the safety of Kashmiri Hindus.

On Friday, Home Minister Amit Shah called a high-level meeting in Delhi regarding the increasing target killing in Kashmir and the security arrangements in the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.

Senior officers of police and army including Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha were present in this meeting.

The Home Minister had given strict instructions to ensure their safety along with dealing strictly with terrorists targeting Kashmiri Hindus and workers of other states in the Kashmir Valley.

A day after the meeting with the Home Minister, the Kashmir administration has transferred and adjusted Kashmiri Hindus posted in different areas of the Kashmir Valley to safer places.

Let us also tell you that in the year 2012 under the Prime Minister’s special package, Kashmiri Hindus posted in government jobs in the Valley were transferred to safe areas.

They were transferred to safe areas only after the killing of Rahul Bhatt, who was killed by terrorists on May 12 in the Chadoora area of district Budgam of central Kashmir.

After Rahul Bhatt, when the terrorists killed the teacher Rajni Bala, the process of picketing and demonstrations intensified in Jammu and Kashmir Valley including the transfers.

Many Kashmiri Hindus returned home from the Valley. Those who are left in Kashmir are not allowed to leave the colonies.

In such a situation, to revive the sense of security among Kashmiri Hindus, the administration has again transferred them to a safe place.

Not only this, but the deployment of security forces in their residential colonies and offices has also increased.

Apart from this, the station in charge of the areas of Kashmir Valley where workers from other states are living has also been instructed to increase patrolling there.
