JK Election Result 2024: In the 2024 Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, the BJP secured a massive victory by winning 22 out of 24 seats in Jammu, Kathua, Samba, and Udhampur districts. Prime Minister Modi’s leadership played a crucial role in the success, as Congress and NC struggled to make an impact. Independent candidates also made a mark.

In the assembly elections held after ten years in Jammu and Kashmir, the Bharatiya Janata Party hoisted its flag in the plain areas of the Jammu division. In the last phase of elections, the party won 22 out of 24 seats in the Jammu, Kathua, Samba, and Udhampur districts of the Jammu division.
Star campaigning under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid off in the plain districts of Jammu division and the National Conference-Congress alliance was not able to open its account in these districts. The flaws in the selection of Congress candidates in these districts were also proved.
JK Election Result 2024: Satish Sharma won as an independent
Satish Sharma, son of former Congress MP Madan Lal Sharma, who left the Congress and contested as an independent, won the Chhamb assembly seat of Jammu district and Dr. Rameshwar won from Bani of Kathua district. In such a situation, even after allying with the National Conference, Congress remained a failure in the plain districts of the Jammu division.
In the 2014 assembly elections, BJP won 18 seats while losing 3 out of 21 assembly seats in Jammu, Kathua, Samba, and Udhampur districts. This time, after three seats increased due to delimitation, BJP has lost only 24 seats to independent candidates.
In such a situation, the BJP has improved its performance in these districts of the Jammu division. In the 2014 assembly elections, the BJP lost the Bishnah and Nagrota seats in the Jammu district. This time the party has won both these seats and has won 10 out of 11 seats in the Jammu district.
BJP wins 29 out of 43 seats in Jammu division
In the 2014 elections, the BJP created history by winning 25 out of 37 seats in the Jammu division. This time the party has improved its performance by winning 29 out of 43 seats in the division. BJP’s performance has been weak in the Rajouri and Poonch districts of the Jammu division.
BJP’s state president Ravinder Raina has lost the assembly elections from Naushera. On the other hand, due to the BJP not getting any seats from the Kashmir division this time also, the party is lagging in the process of forming the government. The NC-Congress alliance, which fought the elections together against BJP, has come close to forming the government in Jammu and Kashmir.
BJP’s organization general secretary Ashok Kaul says that the party has performed better this time than in the year 2014. He says that it is the result of the hard work of the workers that the party has won 22 seats in Jammu, Kathua, Samba, and Udhampur districts. The residents of these districts have voted for the development and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir. We will make every possible effort to overcome our weaknesses by brainstorming on the results of the assembly elections.
