Dr. Farooq Abdullah Placed Under House Arrest Again
Dr. Farooq Abdullah was stopped by the administration from going to Hazratbal Dargah, the house was sealed. The Jammu and Kashmir administration has once again placed National Conference President and MP, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, under house arrest.
They are not being allowed to leave the house. This morning when Dr. Abdullah started leaving the house to offer Eid prayers at the Hazarbal Dargah, the security guards guarding him stopped him from going out.
Sources say that Dr. Farooq Abdullah also opposed this but the security forces did not listen to him and did not allow him to get out of the gate. Dr. Abdullah said that he does not want to go to any dargah but to offer prayers on Eid prayers but his point was ignored.
At the same time, other senior leaders of the National Conference have strongly opposed this attitude of the administration. The leaders said that reading of Namaz is a fundamental right of every Muslim.
If the administration has violated it then it is condemnable. He said that the administration’s action on the auspicious occasion of Milad-un-Nabi is not right.
National Conference Vice President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah appealed to all the parties to unite and said that if you are cursed, we will run behind the chair of Iqtidar (power) even in these circumstances.
People will not forgive us if our eyes are only on the secretariat or the chair. Our fight is for our identity.
Taking a dig at the central government and the BJP, he said that we had only believed that what we want to achieve is to achieve peacefully in the national constitution under the national constitution itself.
Today these people are forcing us to believe that our method was wrong. Accusing the central government of ending mainstream politics in Kashmir, he said that if Kashmiri was an enemy of India, history would have been different.
Addressing a conference of party workers at the National Conference headquarters in Srinagar, Omar called for a united fight against the Jammu Kashmir Reorganization Act and the land laws enforced by the Center, saying that no one knows what will happen next.
That is what Allah would have thought. No good thing is easily found. For this, many difficulties have to be faced, sacrifices have to be given.
Omar said that without naming the PDP, people of a political party are allowed to protest against land laws in Jammu, but in Kashmir they It is closed in police stations.
