Heavy destruction has been caused due to a cloudburst in Chishauti on the Machail Mata Yatra route in Kishtwar district of Jammu division. According to information, 28 people have died in this disaster. Meanwhile, many people are feared to be swept away in the floods.
The disaster occurred between 12 noon and 1 pm in the village of Chasauti on the way to the Machail Mata temple when a large number of people had gathered for the Machail Mata Yatra. From there starts an 8.5 km trek to the temple.

So far, 75 people have been injured in the cloudburst incident in Kishtwar. They have been brought to the Atholi sub-district hospital. The rescue operation continues, and the Air Force has also been alerted for rescue operations.
