BJP Legislature Party Meeting In Goa, CM Will Be Announced

BJP Legislature Party meeting in Goa today, Chief Minister’s name will be announced.

In Goa, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which came to power for the second time in a row, continues to discuss the workload of the next state government.

No name has been clarified from the party on the state’s leadership yet.

The BJP Legislative Assembly in Goa will meet on Monday i.e. today in Panaji to announce the name of the next Chief Minister and the date for the swearing-in ceremony.

Today it will be known on whose head the crown of power will be placed in Goa.

Goa BJP President Sadanand Tanawade had told on Sunday that Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and L. Murugan will also be present in the meeting as BJP’s central observer to facilitate government formation in the state.

BJP President Tanawade said, “The meeting of the BJP Legislature Party will be held at the BJP office at 4 pm.”

CM Pramod Sawant said-

Amidst all the speculation on the name of the Chief Minister in Goa, the statement of the caretaker Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has come to the fore on Sunday, saying that he will accept whatever responsibility the party gives him.

CM Sawant said, ‘I am happy that I was able to get 20 seats for my party. BJP observers are coming for the party’s legislature party meeting tomorrow.

Everything will be decided in tomorrow’s meeting. I will gladly accept the responsibility given by the party.

On Monday, the BJP will stake a claim and approach Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai to form the government.

Earlier on Saturday, CM Sawant had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi to discuss government formation.

In the recently held state assembly elections, BJP has emerged as the single largest party in Goa, winning 20 seats in the 40-member state assembly, defeating Congress by 11 seats.

BJP, with the support of regional party Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and three independent MLAs, is going to form its government in the state for the third time in a row.
