In a sudden development, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel on Saturday removed cabinet minister Rajendra Trivedi from the revenue department and Purnesh Modi from the road and building department.

Sources in the ruling party said that at present, the additional charge of both the departments will be handled by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel himself.
Both Rajendra Trivedi and Purnesh Modi are among the 10 cabinet-level ministers in the Bhupendra Patel government.
Bhupendra Patel replaced Vijay Rupani as chief minister last September when the entire Gujarat cabinet was asked to resign by the top BJP leadership.
Minister of State for Home Harsh Singhvi has been given additional charge of MoS for the Revenue Department and MoS in Industries, Forests, and the Environment.
Jagdish Panchal has been made Minister of State for the Roads and Buildings Department.
Rajendra Trivedi now holds the portfolios of Disaster Management, Law and Justice, and Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs.
While Purnesh Modi will continue as the Minister of Transport, Civil Aviation, Tourism, and Pilgrimages.
