Amit Shah arrived in Assam on a two-day visit, will lay the foundation stone of many projects, and will also address the public meeting.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that the central government is dedicated to ensuring the development of border areas.

Amit Shah said that the central government is making constant efforts to ensure the development of the border areas. Let us inform you that Amit Shah has gone on a two-day tour of Assam.

Shah reviewed the situation along the Bangladesh border from the Mankachar sector and held a closed-door meeting with senior BSF officials on operational strategies.

There is a lack of development in the border areas

The Home Minister stressed that there is a lack of development in the border areas, due to which people are migrating.

He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making constant efforts to bring development in these areas.

He tweeted that BSF personnel deployed in border areas will be provided with the latest technology to enhance security.

Shah is scheduled to attend several events in the northeastern state during his visit, including the first anniversary celebrations of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led government.

The Union Home Minister had reached Guwahati late on Sunday night.

He will lay the foundation stone for the Central Workshop and Store for the Central Armed Paramilitary Force (CAPF) at Kelenchi in the Tamulpur district.

After this, Amit Shah will inaugurate the census office at Amingaon in Kamrup district and the Superspecialty Cardiothoracic and Neurosciences Center at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital.

Amit Shah arrived in Assam: He will be involved in the award ceremony.

He will present the ‘President’s Colour’ to the Assam Police at a function in Guwahati on Tuesday and will also interact with the officers and personnel of the force.

Significantly, Assam will become the tenth state to achieve this feat.

The honor will be given to Assam Police for its exceptional performance in combating insurgency, controlling crime, maintaining law and order, and ensuring the safety of life and property of citizens.

Shah will then address a public meeting to mark the completion of one year in office of the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma-led government.

Amit Shah is scheduled to return to New Delhi on Tuesday evening.
