All Employees Of PM Package Will Get Accommodation Next Year

All employees of the PM package will get accommodation next year, work is going on in more than 20 places in Kashmir.

Under the Prime Minister’s relief package, all the displaced employees will be given suitable accommodation next year.

This claim has been made by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Ashok Pandita. He said that new constructions are going on in more than 20 places in Kashmir.

He visited several construction sites on Saturday to take stock of the progress. He knew the problems of the displaced employees and also listened to the complaints.

Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner said that all the employees of the Prime Minister’s package will be given suitable accommodation by 2022.

Presently the construction work is in full swing at Vandama in Ganderbal, Odina in Bandipora, Fatehpora in Baramulla, and Alovpora in Shopian.

It is expected that accommodation will be allotted to the employees in March and April next year.

He visited the construction sites at Vandama, Odina, Fatehpora, and Kulangam Bagh to take stock of the progress of the works.

He was accompanied by Tehsildar Rahat Srinagar, an employee of the Engineering Wing.

He is on a visit to Kashmir on the instructions of the Secretary, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction to take stock of the problems of the displaced workers and to solve them.

He met several concerned officers and discussed the facilities being provided to the employees in the transit camp including accommodation, inter-district transfer, transfer of employees to a safer place.

They were told that around 1230 employees are living in two-room flats at Vesu in Kulgam, Sheikhpura in Budgam, and Mattan in Anantnag.

Apart from this, the employees are also staying in prefabricated houses in Natansa of Kupwara, Veervan in Baramulla, and Hal area of ​​Shopian.

The Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner directed the field staff and officers of other agencies to provide basic facilities to all the employees residing in the transit camps.

At the same time, employees in Kupwara’s Natansa complained about the inconvenience of power supply and internet service. He said that the issue was taken up with the District Deputy Commissioner.

It will be resolved soon. To solve the problem of the internet, it has been assured that the towers will be installed soon. 12 solar lights have been installed in the colony.
