Voting To Be Held For By-Elections, On November 3
Voting to be held for by-elections, 28 in Madhya Pradesh, eight in Gujarat, seven seats in UP on November 3.
With the second phase of Bihar assembly elections, campaigning for assembly by-elections in several states including Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh also ended at 6 pm on Sunday evening.
As part of the second phase of elections in Bihar , voting to be held in 94 assembly constituencies on November 3.
In many states including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, elections will be held on November 3 for the by-elections in 54 seats.
The most important of these is the by-election for 28 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh. Here 63,67,751 voters will decide the fate of 355 candidates. The state has a total of 230 assembly seats.
Elections are being held in eight seats in Gujarat, seven in Uttar Pradesh, two each in Jharkhand, Karnataka, Nagaland, Odisha and Telangana. Elections will be held on one seat each in Chhattisgarh and Haryana.
International wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt is contesting from BJP on Baroda seat of Sonepat district in Haryana. On the last day of campaigning in Madhya Pradesh, both the major parties BJP-Congress gave their full strength.
The emphasis of both parties was on the Gwalior-Chambal zone. On behalf of BJP, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
BJP State President VD Sharma, former Chief Minister Uma Bharti, and Rajya Sabha member Jyotiraditya Scindia took the front.
At the same time, among the big leaders from the Congress, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath held road shows in Morena and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh held a meeting in Guna.
Kamal Nath also held a meeting in support of the Congress candidates of Gwalior assembly constituency and Gwalior East assembly constituency. He was accompanied by son and Nakul Nath, MP from Chhindwara.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan held road shows at Shamgarh, Agar-Malwa in Mandsaur and Hatpipalya in Dewas district.
