Pakistan should vacate the area
Srivastava said that it is better to change the situation in these areas that Pakistan should immediately move out of its illegal occupied areas.
Pakistan has also announced to hold assembly elections in Gilgit Baltistan to deceive the world. Earlier this year, the Supreme Court of Pakistan allowed the government to hold elections in the region.
Following this decision, India lodged an objection with a senior Pakistani diplomat.
Trying to change the situation is not acceptable
Srivastava said that the attempts by Pakistan to manipulate the region could deprive people of freedom for more than seven decades.
Since Jammu and Kashmir joined the Indian Union in 1947, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as well as the entire area of the so-called Gilgit Baltistan are legally integral to India.
Pakistan cannot crush the human rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. No attempt by Pakistan to change the situation in these Indian regions will be tolerated.
