Permission was not given in view of the security of the White House.

Guglielmi then said in a statement, “We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but the mayor was not permitted to enter the White House complex this evening.”

He also said that in view of the security, we are not able to comment further on this.

According to the New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, President Joe Biden addressed hundreds of guests at the event. Khairullah was elected for a fifth term as the mayor of the borough in January.

Saladin Maksut called the incident ‘disgraceful’.

CAIR New Jersey Executive Director Saladin Maksut has issued a statement regarding this. He termed the incident as completely unacceptable and humiliating.

He added, “If incidents like this are happening with high-profile and respected American-Muslim figures like Mayor Khairullah, it begs the question, what is happening to Muslims who don’t have the mayor’s access and visibility?” ?”

Saladin Maksut also alleged that Khairullah had previously been stopped by authorities and questioned for three hours at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

He was asked whether he had links with terrorists. However, no statement from the White House regarding this entire matter has come to the fore so far.
