Foreign Minister Jaishankar met ASEAN group counterparts in Indonesia and discussed many issues.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday held productive discussions with his counterparts from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and reviewed progress in cooperation in areas such as fintech, food security, and the maritime domain.
Jaishankar is here in the Indonesian capital to attend the ASEAN-India Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
He also met Singapore’s Indian-origin Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan and noted progress in implementing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Myanmar has been rocked by widespread protests demanding the restoration of democracy since the military seized power in a February 2021 coup.
Myanmar’s military has been carrying out airstrikes targeting its opponents and armed fighters against the ruling regime. Jaishankar also met his Bruneian counterpart.
