US sacks two officers in a submarine case.

The US Navy has fired two senior officers of a nuclear-powered submarine that was damaged after colliding with an underwater object last month in the South China Sea.

Apart from this, the Executive Officer and Senior Advisor to the Commander have also been removed from his post.

This action was taken by Vice Admiral Carl Thomas, the commander of the American Seventh Fleet based in Japan.

‘Seventh Fleet’ said, ‘Thomas believes that the accident could have been prevented by making prudent decisions and following necessary procedures during navigation planning, monitoring teamwork and risk management.’

The fleet said Thomas has retired Commander Cameron Aljilani as Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Commander Patrick Cashin as Executive Officer, and Corey Rajers, Master Chief Sonar Technician, as Chief of Ship.

The US sacks two officers: The ship is listed as the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Advisor to the Commander.

The Navy has not yet publicly disclosed how the USS Connecticut hit an underwater reef and the damage it caused to the vessel.

Blinken nominates two new officers to tackle Havana syndrome.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has named two new officials to coordinate US actions to deal with health incidents related to the so-called Havana syndrome.

The syndrome has affected American diplomats and officials abroad.

Blinken said Ambassador Jonathan Moore will serve as coordinator of the State Department’s Health Incident Response Task Force and Ambassador Margaret Uyehara will lead the team helping affected workers.

“President Biden, this is an urgent priority for me and for our entire government,” the foreign minister said in an address to his department.

He resolved to get to the bottom of it and take care of those affected in the meantime.

Blinken said, ‘These incidents have caused a great loss to our comrades. He suffers severe physical consequences including frequent headaches and loss of hearing.

They have also suffered psychological harm which includes trauma, anxiety, and depression.
