UN Chief on Afghanistan Blast: UN chief condemns Afghanistan terrorist attack.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the recent attacks in Afghanistan that took many civilians, including thousands of Shia community members and many children.
Let us tell you that at least 14 people were killed and 32 others were injured in four explosions on Wednesday in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul and the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif.
The Secretary-General’s spokesman, Stephane Dujarric, said in a statement:
“The Secretary-General condemns the recent attacks in Afghanistan involving passenger vehicles in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif and the Masjid Sharif Hazrat Zakaria Mosque in Kabul City, which cost the lives of thousands of civilians.”
Also include members of Hazara Shia, it has been claimed.
Guterres expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The Secretary-General reiterated his call for all parties to ensure the safety of citizens, including ethnic and religious minorities, as well as their right to freely practice their religion.
The statement came at a time when Afghanistan was hit by a series of bomb attacks launched by the Islamic State (IS) group opposing the Taliban regime.
In Wednesday’s blasts, at least five worshipers were killed and 17 others injured after an explosion at a mosque during evening prayers in Police District (PD) 4 in Kabul.
The blast took place when people were offering prayers at Hazrat-e-Zakriya Masjid.
The blast came nearly an hour after three van-buses in Mazar-i-Sharif had three consecutive explosions at PD 10 and PD 5, killing nine people and injuring 15 others.
All the buses were carrying passengers.
