MCD election 2022: After a resounding election defeat, BJP will change organization, says Gupta – ignore rumors

The leaders of the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party said on Thursday that radical changes would be made in the organization after the party’s defeat in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections.

The results of the MCD elections came on Wednesday, in which it is clearly visible that after 15 years of BJP rule in the city, the public wants a change.

The BJP got crushing defeat by AAP in the elections and Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party got 134 out of 250 seats.

Even in the meeting held on the day of the election results, state president Adesh Gupta had said that the post of the president should be respected, as the post is not only a symbol of the individual but also of “respect and influence of the organization”.

According to a senior party leader present in the meeting, Gupta asked party workers not to pay heed to and be swayed by rumors and speculations about his removal from the post.

However, there has been no response from Adesh Gupta in this regard.
