Recently, many people died due to a fire in the 20-story Kamala Building in Mumbai’s Taddev area. Taking cognizance of the accident, PM Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the deceased.

Also wishing the injured a speedy recovery, he had announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from PMNRF for the next of kin of the deceased.

Along with this, it was said to give Rs 50,000 for the injured. Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar had also ordered an inquiry in this matter.

He had said that the incident of fire in the Kamala Building in Mumbai’s Taddev area will be investigated.

Significantly, there are many old buildings in Mumbai which have completed their age. But still,  people are living in them.

In the month of July last monsoon, a four-story building collapsed in the Andheri area of ​​the city at midnight. Six people, including a firefighter, were injured in the incident.
