Three More Rafale Fighter Jets Reached India From France

Three more Rafale fighter jets reached India by taking a direct flight from France, fuel filled in the air in UAE.

Three Rafale fighter jets from France and have reached India. This is the seventh consignment of Rafale aircraft to be received from France.

With the arrival of these aircraft, the firepower of the Air Force has become stronger.

These aircraft will be inducted into the second squadron of the Indian Air Force, which has been built at Hasimara airbase in Bengal, close to the Chinese border.

The first squadron of Rafale aircraft is at Ambala Air Force Station. There are about 18 fighter aircraft in a squadron.

With the arrival of these three aircraft, 24 Rafale aircraft have been received from France so far.

Under the deal signed between the two countries, India is to get a total of 36 Rafale aircraft.

After taking off from France, these planes covered a distance of eight thousand kilometers without stopping.

The Air Force of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) provided fuel to these aircraft in the air on the way. For this, the Indian Air Force has thanked the UAE Air Force.

With the arrival of the Rafale fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF), it will be inducted into the second squadron.

It will be deployed at Hashimara Air Force Base in Bengal. The first squadron of Rafale aircraft is stationed at Ambala Air Force Station in Haryana.

The first consignment of five Rafale fighter jets reached India on July 29, 2020.

About four years ago, India signed an inter-governmental agreement with France for the purchase of 36 aircraft at a cost of around Rs 59,000 crore.

At present, with the arrival of 3 more aircraft with the Air Force, their number has increased to 24. The remaining aircraft are expected to arrive by 2022.

Officials said that the first squadron will guard the western border and northern border with Pakistan. The second squadron will monitor the eastern border area of ​​India.

Five French-made Rafale fighter jets were formally inducted into the Air Force on September 10 last year at a ceremony in Ambala. Later, more consignments of planes also reached India.
