Tesla’s Boombox feature found fault, the company recalled more than 5,75,000 cars.

Electric car maker Tesla is recalling 578,607 vehicles due to a possible problem with the boombox feature.

According to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) document, some features of the boombox may result in vehicles not conforming to pedestrian warning standards.

These models will go back.

According to the Teslarati report, the recent ‘recalls’ include the 2020-2022 Tesla Model S, 2020-2022 Tesla Model X, 2017-2022 Tesla Model 3, and 2020-2022 Tesla Model Y model vehicles.

Due to a defect in the boombox feature of these vehicles, the company is recalling it, so that this problem can be rectified.

The boomboxes are equipped with external speakers that allow the vehicle to play different sounds when it is in motion. Tesla’s Boombox feature is also driven through the vehicle’s external speakers.

According to the NHTSA document, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 141 (FMVSS 141) outlines the performance requirements for pedestrian alert sounds for hybrid and electric vehicles.

It should be noted that the standard also prohibits manufacturers from changing or modifying the sound emission capability of a vehicle’s pedestrian warning system (PWS).

Tesla is working with firmware version 2020 that can block sound through their PWS speakers when they are parked or in motion using a boombox. This feature makes Tesla’s e-car even more modern.

This feature was included in 2020.

This feature was included in Tesla’s vehicles in the year 2020, in those days this feature was also very much discussed.

Boombox has been in Tesla vehicles since December 24, 2020, when the feature was rolled out as part of the 2020 Holiday Update.
