Team India preparing for the new mission, practice starts for the T20 series against Sri Lanka.

Recently, after defeating West Indies 3-0 in the T20 series in Kolkata, Rohit Sharma-led Team India is now preparing for a new mission.

Team India’s next mission is now a three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka, which will start from Thursday at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana International Stadium and its last two matches will be played in Dharamsala.

Teams of India and Sri Lanka have reached Lucknow for the first match of the series. While Team India reached the city of Nawabs on Monday evening, the visiting players made their presence felt on Tuesday.

Under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, the players of the host Indian team took part in the practice session on Tuesday.

During this, former Indian captain and team coach Rahul Dravid was seen giving tips to the players. During three hours of rigorous practice, Rohit and Ishan Kishan practiced batting for about an hour.

Among the bowlers, Avesh Khan, Kuldeep Yadav, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar did net practice on different pitches for 40-40 minutes.

Doubt remains on Deepak Chahar:

The practice session of the Indian team started at 1 pm. Deepak Chahar was not seen with the team in the three-hour-long practice session.

It is believed that he is not fit for this match. But, this has not been officially confirmed yet.

It is known that Deepak Chahar had to leave the field due to a muscle strain in the third T20 match against West Indies.

All eyes will be on Kuldeep and Bhuvneshwar:

In the T20 match to be held in Ekana, two veteran players of Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur’s chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav and Meerut fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar will also be watching.

Kuldeep will be playing an international match for the first time in Lucknow.

Sri Lankan team practiced in floodlights:

The Sri Lankan team reached Lucknow at 11 am on Tuesday. After staying in the hotel till four o’clock in the evening from five in the evening to eight in the night, sweated profusely in the floodlight.

However, both these teams will test their preparations in different shifts on Wednesday as well.

Chamika Karunaratne, Dushmanta Chamira, Lahiru Kumara, Binura Phanranando, Shiran Thekanando, Mahesh Teekshaw, Mahesh Praveen Jayavikrama, ASEAN Daniels.
