TDP’s statewide bandh to protest against party office vandalism, police in action: Andhra Pradesh.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has called for a state-wide bandh in Andhra Pradesh on October 20 after a mob vandalized the party’s headquarters in Guntur on Tuesday.

Addressing the media, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu termed it as a ‘black day’.

He further alleged that the ruling YSRCP government has colluded with the police to vandalize party offices and protect miscreants who attacked TDP workers.

At the same time, the protesting TDP workers have been taken into custody by the police.

TDP’s TNTUC (Telugunadu Trade Union Council) leaders and workers have been arrested by the police who were protesting during the statewide bandh today against the vandalism of the party’s central office in Mangalagiri.

They had hit the streets in Vijayawada.

Let us tell you that Chandrababu Naidu had said that the DGP office is a few hundred meters away (from the TDP office which was demolished) Chief Minister’s house is near, yet, they attacked.

I spoke to the Governor and the Union Home Minister, both have replied. Naidu also recalled how recently his own residence in Amaravati was vandalized by the aides of a YSRCP MLA.

The former Andhra Pradesh chief minister has urged all opposition parties to take part in the bandh called by the TDP on Wednesday.

Jana Sena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan condemned the attacks on TDP offices along with state opposition parties Congress and BJP.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) headquarters in Mangalagiri and offices in Visakhapatnam and other places were vandalized.

YSR Congress alleges that the spokesperson of the opposition party had made objectionable remarks against Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy during the press conference.

Earlier on Tuesday morning itself, TDP spokesperson K Pattabhiram lodged an objection to the police notice being sent to former minister Nakka Ananda Babu.

Babu had reportedly made controversial remarks against Jagan. Andhra Pradesh TDP President Achananaidu said, “The party strongly condemns the attack by YSR Congress goons on the headquarters and offices and residences of party leaders.

We do not understand whether we live in a democratic country or a fascist country. The Chief Minister should take responsibility for these attacks.
