Supreme Court refuses to order door-to-door vaccination, says – Vaccination is going well in the country.

The country’s top court has refused to order door-to-door vaccination. The court has said that door-to-door vaccination is not an easy task in such a diverse country.

The Supreme Court refused to entertain a petition seeking door-to-door Covid vaccination.

The apex court said that it is not possible to order door-to-door vaccination in view of the varying COVID situation and administrative complexities in the country.

The Supreme Court (SC) said that such general directions cannot be issued keeping in view the administrative needs and policy decisions of the Central Government.

A bench of Justice DY Chandrachud said that it does not exercise its discretion while filing such petitions.

The Bombay High Court had issued an order that those who cannot go to their homes should be vaccinated, but the situation is different in different places in the country.

The Supreme Court said that the situation is different in Ladakh, Kerala, and UP and in rural and urban areas.

You should look at the diversity of the country like this. The whole country cannot be run by one common order.

At present, under one policy, 50 percent of people have taken at least one dose of the vaccine. The petitioner Youth Bar Association can approach the Central Government in this matter.

In another case also, the Supreme Court refused to hear a petition seeking compensation to the families of those who died due to lack of oxygen, medicines, etc. during COVID19.

The Supreme Court said that the court has already given its verdict in this matter. The petitioner should now suggest to the Central Government.
