SIT Submitted Report To High Court In Ramesh Jarkiholi’s Case

SIT submitted report to High Court in former Karnataka minister Ramesh Jarkiholi’s case.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Tuesday submitted its report to the Karnataka High Court in the tape case related to BJP leader and former Karnataka minister Ramesh Jarkiholi.

The matter came to the fore on March 2 when social activist Kallahalli lodged a police complaint demanding a probe into the Jarkiholi racket.

He said that the victim woman was offered a job in Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd.

Jarkiholi had resigned from his post over his alleged involvement in the sexual assault of the woman.

The Karnataka High Court had asked the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged obscene CD case involving former state minister Ramesh Jarkiholi to submit the report.

On March 2, Kallahalli, a social activist, had filed a police complaint demanding a probe into the case involving Ramesh Jarkiholi.

Kallahalli had said that the victim woman was offered a job in Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).

The woman was sexually assaulted on reaching the pre-determined place and is now being threatened by the minister and his men.

An alleged obscene tape showed the minister in a compromising position with the woman.

Congress said this act of the BJP government at the Center amounted to the abduction of democracy.

Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge has also expressed the apprehension that the BJP may have brought down the governments there through espionage in many states including MP.

Congress veterans made this allegation on the central government in a joint press conference regarding the reports of people close to the Congress and JDS leadership in the state being on the surveillance of Pegasus during the upheaval of change of power in Karnataka in 2019.
