Siddaramaiah had breakfast with Shivakumar: Trying to fix everything in Karnataka Congress.

Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah on Friday invited Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee chief DK Shivakumar to his residence for breakfast.

The breakfast meeting, with pictures of the two leaders laughing and having a meal at Siddaramaiah’s official residence.

The two leaders discussed the rift between them and how to prevent its impact on Congress ahead of the 2023 assembly elections.

After the meeting, DK Shivakumar said that we met to discuss and organize various issues of the party and face elections.

DK Shivakumar’s statement comes at a time when there is speculation in the political circles that the personal ambitions of both the leaders and the aim of becoming the next CM is weakening Congress.

Let us tell you that on August 3, supporters of Siddaramaiah are organizing Siddaramaihotsav to celebrate the 75th birthday of the former Chief Minister.

Shivakumar had said on Thursday that the event would be held under the party’s umbrella as Rahul Gandhi is expected to be present along with other national and state leaders.

The event is being seen as an attempt to project Siddaramaiah as the Congress chief ministerial candidate for the 2023 assembly elections in Karnataka.

Congress Legislature Party leader Siddaramaiah had announced that the 2023 elections would be his last.

Regarding his birthday program, former CM Siddaramaiah told the media, ‘Surely this program will be a political message, shouldn’t our achievements be counted in the politics of our 5-year tenure.

Is it not politics to remember my political journey? Nothing can be done without politics.

Siddaramaiah also said that he did not call the event Siddaramhotsav, but the media has picked up the word created by someone else.
