This petition has been filed on behalf of the Shiv Sena faction led by Uddhav Thackeray.

When asked about this, Eknath Shinde told reporters, “We have full faith in the judiciary.” The Speaker of the Assembly has also given us recognition.

Shinde was sworn in as Chief Minister on June 30 with the support of the BJP.

Before that, he had revolted against Uddhav Thackeray, due to which the Maha Vikas Aghadi government led by Thackeray fell.

After that, the Eknath Shinde government won the trust vote in the assembly on 4 July.
