Earlier on Monday, some senior Congress leaders, including Kapil Sibal, Shashi Tharoor, met at the residence of Ghulam Nabi Azadi after the re-election of Sonia Gandhi to the Congress Working Committee (CWC). These are the same leaders who wrote a letter to Sonia Gandhi about the change in the organization. A round of speculation has started on Kapil Sibal’s tweet. Rahul or Priyanka Gandhi should be president
On the other hand, Congress leader Anil Shastri says that if the leadership of the Congress is not in the hands of the Gandhi family, then the party will not survive, the president must be from the Gandhi family to save the party. If Sonia ji does not want to be president then Rahul or Priyanka Gandhi should be the president. He said that 50 percent of the problem will be solved if senior leaders of Congress Party like Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi start meeting with party leaders.
Leaders at Rahul’s target
The CWC meeting, which lasted nearly six hours, unanimously ratified Sonia’s resignation as her president. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi also targeted the leaders who wrote letters to Sonia Gandhi on the issue of leadership in the party and said that when the party was fighting with the opposing forces in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and Sonia Gandhi was unwell then such a letter why it was written.
Allegations of nexus with BJP
