Sensex started well on the second trading day of 2022. The BSE Main Index opened at 59,343 above the previous close.

Sensex started well on the second trading day: The National Stock Exchange’s Nifty (NSE Nifty) closed at 17,625.70, up 271.65 points, or 1.57 percent.

The outperformers on the Sensex include Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank, and HDFC Bank. There was an increase of up to 3.50 percent in these.

On the other hand, Dr. Reddy’s, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, and Nestle lost their shares. On Friday, the last day of the year 2021, the stock markets closed again.

The BSE Sensex was up 459.50 points, or 0.80 percent, at 58,253.82 and the NSE Nifty was up 150.10 points, or 0.87 percent, at 17,354.05.

On a yearly basis, the Sensex has gained 21.99 percent or 10,502.49 points and the Nifty has gained 24.11 percent or 3,372.3 points in 2021.

Meanwhile, a report said that in 2021, an amount of Rs 1.2 lakh crore or $16.6 billion was raised through 63 IPOs led by new technology companies.

During this period, investment bankers raised fees of $ 1.1 billion amid a boom in the IPO market, said an industry report.

The stock ended trading at $182.01, up 2.5%, with Apple’s market capitalization at $2.99 ​​trillion.
